It’s easy for us who are being fed take for granted those who are feeding us. It dawned on me this moment our conversation Friday. This series by Dr. David Platt and the last one by Dr. R. C. Sproul are the nuts and bolts that you build sound theology on. Since I have been class for close to two years now, I am certain of my being saved. How I’m saved and what I’m saved from. Thank you for not being afraid to tell the truth. I really feel like I’ve been to college. Also never feel inferior to any other ministry because Soldiers of Christ is the best one to come in. You set the standard of what it is to be taught from God’s word. Enjoy your wife, your vacation and know you have some fruit from your labor here. Also, please stay in the gap for your son, that’s your thorn. God will not forget you concerning this matter. Pray and don’t lose heart. Remember Dr. Platt told us be confident in the character of God. I will leave you with Psalm 9:10 meditate on that and I look to see you when you get back. Be encouraged always, Love ya Scott, your brother in Christ. P.S. This reformed theology gives Jesus a place, prosperity theology does not. Jesus alone is Lord, not me and Him! See ya soon, enjoy yourself.
Brother Scott Kalas, I just wanted to thank you, for your work in the Lord. May 2014 was when I started your classes, I was not sure what I was looking for, but I knew something was missing and that I was far from God’s reach. I made a profession of faith in the past where I was told to repeat a sinner’s prayer then I was told I was saved. As you know it wasn’t until I read “Holiness of God,” that I saw how unclean, undone and broken like Humpty Dumpty. That’s when I confess I was a sinner in believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. That is the best thing that’s happen to me this incarceration, God loves me. The last 30 months wow, I can’t even begin to explain the joy and peace that I have today. Your class helped me in so many ways, at the beginning how does He know? Your class on prayer was awesome and at the same time Mt. Zion sends me a study on the call to prayer. You think God was telling me something? But most of all was your sincere, honesty, comments and your love for your class. You were not scared to share and I lot of things we all could relate to. As I look back I feel like Timothy when Paul filled him with all this doctrine, why we believe what we believe. It has been an honor to study under you. To all your supporters I would like to extend a grateful thank you, for without them you probably would not be here and I would tell them thank you once again so very much. If I never see you again I will see you in heaven and every time I read the book of Timothy I will be for you and your family. I think I have three years parole, so when all is done I would like to visit your church. Well my brother I love you in Christ
Brother Scott, your class has been a great joy, you hit a lot of topics in the 18 months I been in in your class. When I first started your class I was not sure where I stood with God, I rededicated my life to Christ and am in the Word of God even more now. After rebelling against God for more than 15 years. Your love for God has inspired me to follow God and seek His will for my life, the love you have for your class is genuine, we can spot a phony when we see one. I pray and thank God for your enthusiasm you have to see people saved and to have discipleship in the Word of God. It been great learning under you...
My name is Aaron, I truly feel that Scott and his prison ministry is a major part of my growth as a Christian, his classes are so informative to me. It would be a major loss if he is unable to continue his calling here. Thank you for your time and God bless.
I thank God for the class and the man of God whom sacrifices his time to teach. The material is excellent and the Bible study Fellowship is amazing. This example lets me know how God can and will use a willing vessel. I'm very impressed, satisfied and appreciated of the class. The program is very interesting in needed for spiritual growth. It shows how God can use one if they surrender.
Hi Scott, I first off to say thank you for taking your time to come and teach all of us defending our faith, & also how to be a better Christian father. I want you to know that by your sharing about Cameron help me with relationship with my mom. You helped me to see things from her perspective and I’ve been able to let go of resentments I’ve been holding onto. I think you’re doing a fine job sir and I am very grateful.
Brother Scott, thank you for taking the time to teach us this class. Since I've been in this class I’ve learned how to communicate with my children such as getting on their level and getting to know what they like to eat, toys they like, what their favorite color is!! I’ve learned how to get myself into their world so that they will know that I love them and understand them. I am going to take what you have taught me in this class home with me so thank you for helping me learn how to know what it truly means to be a father to my children!! I know that when I get out I as a father have to put my children first in all of my decisions!! God bless.
Scott, I want to thank you for showing me the way to Christ. I came down here last October and got lucky enough to hear the buzz about your classes you teach and lucky enough to get to be part of it (although it’s not luck). Your love for God and living in the walk of Christ inspired me since the first day to except Jesus as my savior and pursue a righteous life. I know Jesus now and it’s amazing. Thank you for helping me save my life. Your brother in Christ, God is good!
This course has been such a wonderful blessing for me. It is the way I cope with my situation of being in prison. I find that through Christ is the only way to get my treatment here. through the study and fellowship of the word with my other Christian brothers, I am learning the correct way to walk as a Christian man and how to be a witness of my fate. I can’t wait until class begins again.
Mr. Scott has been very inspirational towards me in having a better understanding of the Bible. I think this discipleship class was a very informational and inspirational class. Scott was very patient with the class and brought a lot of great informative pamphlets. I can’t wait to sign up for my third class. One area he really assisted me in was my method and way of praying and how to read the Bible correctly.
Dear Scott, I want to thank you for the Malachi Dads class and Soldiers of Christ Discipleship. I have been an absent Catholic most of my life. I came to your classes because of the fact that they are Christian based programs and I have rediscovered my relationship with Christ. I still lack in many areas of my Christianity, but I look forward to coming to your class every week. Through the fellowship of these classes, it keeps me balanced and focused. I don’t want this letter to sound impersonal, so from the bottom of my heart thank you, Scott for helping and caring for complete strangers especially in this God bless you, Scott.
This class is helping me to better understand the Gospel of the Lord. This is a life changing experience because of the love of Jesus I want to serve Him. Thank God for Scott for taking a chance on us to be receptive of his teachings. I will be a disciple of the Lord and Scott is helping me to learn how.
Through this class I’m given hope. When I’m able to come to a group where there is no negativity, it is so good for my soul. I am able to express things with Scott that I would not be to do elsewhere in the prison. I am so very thankful for Scott and all he does.
I take two classes of Scott’s, and they are wonderful. I get the material and skills I need to bring myself closer to God. I have learned ways to do uses this word to get closer to my wife and children, which I have been out of reach from for over a year. Soldiers of Christ, Scott, and the classes they offer and bring to Dixon prison has been a very tremendous and helpful tool towards my faith in God and the rebuilding of my relationship with my wife and kids.
My name is Aaron, I truly feel that Scott and his prison ministry is a major part of my growth as a Christian, his classes are so informative to me. It would be a major loss if he is unable to continue his calling here. Thank you for your time and God bless.
