Greetings,
Only a few prayer requests this week, a disappointment that many men are not being moved to submit prayers and experience the power of God answering prayer.
However, God lifted my heart when among the few prayers was this note from James. James has been a student since December 2016. Since that time I've noticed a more sincere change in James in how he would speak of his son's mother finding it very hard to 'forgive her' His prayer request is Discipleship evening class. You can read the words of a transformed heart. The transformed heart is explained not surprisingly in his note.
"Scott, I want to thank you for showing me the way to Christ. I came down here last October and got lucky enough to hear the buzz about your classes you teach and lucky enough to get to be part of it (although it's not luck). Your love for God and living in the walk in Christ inspired me since the first day to accept Jesus as my Savior and pursue a righteous life. I know Jesus now and it's amazing. Thank you for helping me save my life. Your brother in Christ James God is good."

Adam - pray that Scott's son gets the help he needs that he may come to the Lord. Pray that my father has a good eye surgery. Pray my kids be kept safe as they start a new school year. Prayers for the well-being of his mother Kourtney and his grandparents Karen and Kraig. Also for the son, I shamefully admit I abandoned for lack of better words, Nathan James and his mother Jennifer. That they are healthy and happy and for forgiveness in their hearts for me being a deadbeat. Thanks.

Nathaniel - Please pray for my father. He is now restarting his chemo treatments after a one week delay. Last week when he showed up for his second round of treatment he didn't realize there was an infection in his chest port. When they want to flush it, they actually push the infection into him and caused him to go septic. Since there is no president for this, his doctors didn't know when he could restart his treatments. They left the choice up to him after explaining the risk. He chose to start this week. Please pray for his continued health through the remaining treatments and that the infection is gone. No name - I pray for the whole world, the flood victims in Texas, people with addiction, the Simms, family, friends, Wharton's office, counselors, chaplains, the choir, Chaplin Scott, his wife and son Cameron.
