Greetings,
My wife Michelle's mother, Elizabeth 'Liz' Thorn, passed away in her sleep on Wednesday, October 9th. She knew the Lord, so she is no longer suffering; please pray for Michelle and her family. As a result of Liz's going home to the Lord, I canceled classes at Dixon on Wednesday.
It was a good turnout for all the classes at Sheridan this week. However, prayer requests were minimal. Please pray that the students will take advantage of the power of prayer that you offer to them.
We had good discussions on communication in Malachi Dads and church membership in Discipleship.
He hasn't started yet, but IDOC finally hired a new chaplain at Sheridan. I wasn't given a start date. Pray he is is sound in God's Word, an advocate for all inmates and volunteers.
I can't say it enough, but you are truly appreciated to your continued lifting up my students, aka my guys in prayer and for Michelle and her family.

Jason - pray for my son Cash, for the Lord to protect him and hopefully get him out of the home he is in.
Kevin - Pray that I will be made aware of my calling. Pray for my heart to be open to love without judging the actions of others. Pray for my walk to be conformed to the example of our Lord Jesus. Pray that God will allow my eyes to see the deeper things in His Word. Pray for the oneness of my marriage. I struggle to believe that my wife loves and honors me.
Brother Jeffrey Ray - lord, I come to you with praise and thanks. Your grace and mercy to forgive us of our sins and send your son Jesus as the sacrifice for us. Lord, I ask you to bless Scott and his family through the difficult times of the death his mother-in-law she believed in you and is now at peace in heaven. Scott's son Cameron needs the uplifting and enlightening of Jesus in his life as he deals with addiction. I am asking all these petitions and more as you know my heart, in Jesus' name, amen.
Demond - I would like prayer for myself, my wife, and our family. We need strength to come back together as a whole to have patience, strength, and love for one another. Please pray for us.
Anthony - Pray for the safety and protection of my children. Pray for strength for me when I’m released to do the right thing, stay out of the streets. Pray for a better prayer life and help with studying the Bible. Pray for God's will to be done in my life. I want to be a better father and companion. Pray for continued grace and mercy and for strength to endure Sheridan. Pray for help to stop cursing and be more honest.
Justin - Pray for my family and my seven kids, my friend Elizabeth and myself. I would like to remain strong because lately, I've been feeling weak and discouraged in my recovery.
Aaron - Thank you for all your prayers for my mother; she is doing well after her heart attack. Please continue to keep my brother Phillip in your prayers that he can overcome his alcoholism and come to know the Lord.
David - Please pray for peace here. Pray for all our kids, for our officers. Pray for work release soon, for our partners and exes. Pray for all our protection provision and wisdom. Pray for all the volunteers God bless you that come here and their families. Thank you.
Darrick - please pray for me that I continue to stay closer to God every day of my life. I need prayer for my mom and her financial situation. Pray for her health and strength. Pray for all 10 of my children; Darius, Sharmaya, Darell, Dashawn, Dareon, Davonta, Dariana, Darrick, Darriayah, and Darranae. Keep them covered with the blood of Jesus! Amen. Thank you.
